Getting Back In The Swing Of Things

Months 3 and 4

I think I either need to be banned from Victoria's Secret or get a job there so I can get an employee's discount. Their stuff is just too cute and now it actually fits! I tried to convince my mom that I needed bras in every color (you know, not just black, white, or beige) but I think I'm pushing the limit and my dresser drawer is quite stuffed! As I said before I am now free to return to normal activities and cheerleading tryouts are this weekend. I so want to try out, but I can't strech like I used to and I'm way out of shape from weeks of limited activities, pluse I don't know if my new IBTs are ready!

Well, the cheerleading thing didn't work out :-( Bummer. I have been obsessing and hating my breasts a lot over the past 3 days and I finally realized that they are swollen due to PMS. Duh! I should have realized that 2 and half months ago, it seems that I spend three and a half weeks of each month loving them half and half thinking they are big.

A side note: I have decided that instead of being an ultrasound tech. I want to be a mammographer (radiologist). Breast health is so increadibly important, and that way I can be as breast obsessed as I want and no one will think I'm nuts!

Months 5 & 6

Well, things are going pretty good. The lumps and bumps are getting smaller and dissolving and my incisions are getting thinner. My PCP put me on a antibiotic on Friday and since then my incisions have been a bit more red and one spot on the smiley incision is real achey. I called Dr. Austin today and he could not think of any reason why the Ery-Tabs would cause this and told me redness at this stage is totally normal. He then listed a variety of things that could cause more noticable redness (ie. irritation from my bra or laundry soap). As for the ache, he said that could possibly be an undissolved stitch. If it continues to bother me or gets worse he said to call because he wants to check it out. Darn it - I should have knocked on wood when I said I had no problem with spitting stiches!

Well, I lucked out. It wasn't a spitting stich and the pain went away. Christmas was awesome - I got tons of Victoria's Secret stuff and a digital camera so I can put after pictures on here now! It's too bad I have no before pics, I'll have to talk with Dr. Austin and see if he'll let me copy some from my file. Hope you all had a safe and fun holiday!
